GUY THE REV : BRISFEST 2013
Hey y’a pas eu de Son depuis une moment par ici!
En voilà un qui devrait te plaire et te décoiffer le brushing! Un mix de notre ami Guy pour le Brisfest 2013….
C’est quoi Brisfest ?
Brisfest is a not-for-profit celebration of the Best of the South West, showcasing rising stars and future talent from the region alongside international headliners.
There’s 15 stages covering everything from Bands and DJs to Comedy and Circus, Street Theatre and Walkabouts. We aim to cover as many genres as possible so whether you’re into raving, moshing or simply exploring we’re sure you’ll stumble on something exciting. Brisfest also features a huge arts programme with renowned graffiti artists, massive sculptures throughout the site, digitally projection mapped stages, and many cutting-edge interactive installations. For those looking for something a little more chilled there’s a permaculture garden with acoustic acts around the fire, cinema tent, Body and Soul area, and workshops ranging from African Drumming to Salsa Dancing. For the little ones there’s a kids area with a new fully programmed stage in a covered tent, arts and crafts, dance classes, fun fair and inflatables. Then when you’re hungry there’s a wide range of world and locally sourced foods, as well as clothing and gift stalls from many local traders. …and if all that isn’t enough once again there’s an amazing programme of after parties to take you into the small hours.

C’est qui Kev Obrien ?
Some people live, eat and breathe electronic music. Kev Obrien is undoubtedly one of those people. As an avid lover of dance music for nearly fifteen years, Kev has built his life around the music he loves, and has dedicated the better portion of it to throwing quality events, DJing and most recently producing. After relocating from Florida to New York, Kev hasn’t looked back since. Nearly a decade of experience in the industry has equipped him with the tools and confidence to instantly make an impact in one of the toughest and most saturated scenes in the world…the concrete jungles of New York City. 2010 has been a pivotal year for Kev, with his productions on Deep Vein Audio and Tolerant Recordings reaching the record boxes of the world’s elite; gaining massive support from tastemakers such as John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Laurent Garnier, Armin Van Buuren, Timo Maas, Milton Jackson and many many more. His biggest release to date, ‘Valentines and 909s’, hit #2 on Juno’s Deep House and Tech House charts, as well as #20 on Beatport”s Deep House top 100. Released in May 2010, ‘Valentines and 909s’ has seen radio plays on John Digweed’s 2010 BBC Essential Mix, as well as his Transitions show (6/11/2010 and 6/18/2010 (Wiretappeur guest mix), Nic Fanciulli’s ‘Worldwide Sounds’, Solomun’s ‘Diynamic Sessions’, X-Press 2 Ministry of Sound radio, as well as frequent plays on Ibiza global, Ministry of Sound radio, and many more. Also charted on Beatport by John Digweed, Reboot, Estroe and Pleasurekraft. With several new original and remix projects in the works for 2011, the stage has been set and his time to shine is now. For Kev Obrien and Stranjjur, the future is now. And the future looks very Stranjj, indeed.
